Business Speed Networking

access_time Thu, Apr. 19, 2012 5:30pm — 8:00pm

location_on Russley Golf Club, 428 Memorial Avenue

This is your chance to pick the brains of local business leaders.

Find out their secrets, share their experiences and pick up a few business tips. The evening will be an informal chance to sit down with other CYP members and local entrepreneurs, managers, and business people for an open discussion. Over the course of the evening, you'll have the chance to swap tables to meet as many new people as possible, and the chance afterwards to mingle over another drink.

The event will be held at Russley Golf Club on Thursday 19 April, with food and a cash bar to help fuel the discussion.

Business Leader Bio's

Bridget O'Sullivan - Co-owner, J'aime les Macarons

Bridget studied law and psychology at Otago University. She worked as in-house counsel for a variety of multi-nationals including Exxonmobil, Accenture UK, and British Sky Broadcasting, in New Zealand and in London. When she returned to New Zealand, she took the plunge to move into something she was passionate about and attended the Celia Hay School of Food and Wine in Christchurch. There, she met business partner Amanda McBeath, and together they opened the Normans Road J'aime les Macarons shop in November 2009. The shop has been a great success, with a philosophy of creating a limited range of products exceptionally well - we think their macarons definitely fit that description!

Leanne Carson-Hughes - General Manager Human Resources, Christchurch International Airport Limited

Leanne previously worked as the General Manager Human Resources for the New Zealand Institute of Crop & Food Research, and moved from there to the Christchurch International Airport Limited, where she is General Manager Human Resources, and a member of the Executive Management Team. Since then, she has developed a very successful business. She led the team responsible for winning the New Zealand Association of Event Professionals award for "Best Emerging Event 2008', and is proud that 360 Degree Events was involved with the 2011 'Share an Idea' campaign that recently won "Unanimous Overall Winner" of the 2011 Co-Creation Award.
