About DiSC

Ever wondered why you work really easily with some of your colleagues but struggle to understand others, and some just get right under your skin?! Most people have a natural desire to understand themselves, to have successful relationships, to work well, and to grow and prosper.

Discover four styles of behaviour in the workplace using DiSC, a behaviour based profiling system.  It helps determine how a person works with other people, what their strengths and weaknesses are within the workplace.  Learn how to interpret your own style, as well as that of your colleagues and how to work more effectively with them.

About the presenter, Peta Walker

Peta is a Chartered Accountant and the director of her own business, BW Chartered Accountants. She works with clients on a variety of specialist projects, including succession planning, business sale and purchase or restructuring. As well as participating in advisory boards for growing businesses she enjoys getting to know her clients' businesses inside and out.

Peta started working with personality profiling through building the team at BW and working with clients businesses. She realised that all businesses need dynamic teams made up of the different personality types. DiSC is an easy way to articulate and understand this.

She is a born and bred Wellingtonian and lives on a lifestyle property in the rugged Makara Valley. This gives her the best of both worlds, “I'm lucky to live a culturally rich city life with weekends spent working on the property”, she says. Her latest goal is to walk the full length of Te Araroa Walkway - the whole 3000kms!

Her best advice to people would be, “live life to the full. Have goals and work towards making them happen, both personally and within your business”.
